This anthology includes three poems by J.R.R. Tolkien:

Tha Eadigan Saelidan: The Happy Mariners
(See pp.15-16)
This poem is a slightly revised version of that published in The Stapeldon Magazine in 1920 and later in Tolkien and the Great War. The 1920 version is also reprinted in The Book of Lost Tales, Part 2 (1984) along with a later revision.

Why The Man In The Moon Came Down Too Soon
(See pp.17-19)
This poem is reprinted in a slightly revised form in The Book of Lost Tales, Part 1 (1983) and much revised in The Adventures of Tom Bombadil.

Enigmata Saxonica Nuper Inventa Duo
(See p.20)
This riddle-poem is reprinted in The Annotated Hobbit (2nd Edition only). An earlier variant is reproduced under the title Enigma Saxonicum Nuper Inventum in The Oxford Inklings.

Two impressions issued, both similar:

1st Impression June 1923 - 170 copies
2nd Impression July 1923 - 200 copies
