Notes
Tolkien’s Legendarium is an anthology of essays about the History of Middle-earth series.

The Literary Value of The History of Middle-earth by David Bratman reprints three of the five stanzas of Tolkien’s poem The Nameless Land from Realities: An Anthology of Verse.

See pp.79-80.

At least two impressions issued.

The complete poem was reprinted in The Lost Road (1987) along with two later revisions entitled The Song of Ælfwine (on seeing the uprising of Eärendil).

Tolkien’s Legendarium also includes a useful bibliography of the writings of Christopher Tolkien.
