J.R.R. Tolkien Scholar and Storyteller - 1979In the years since Tolkien's death a large portion of his papers have been edited for publication by a number of people, including his son Christopher. The variety of material is remarkable, ranging from illustrated children's stories such as Mr. Bliss and The Father Christmas Letters to academic texts such as Finn and Hengest. Christopher Tolkien has edited much of the unpublished Middle-earth matter to produce The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales and the monumental twelve-volume series, The History of Middle-earth.
